Gestational Diabetes
The time has come that Daniel and I are planning on trying again (soon). However as I was diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes with Thomas I have been told that I will have it again with any other pregnancy.
Has anyone else had this?
If you did, have you found that it was any worse or any better in the subsequent pregnancy?
I know that I will have Pre Eclampsia again, and I know what to expect with that, but would appreciate any info from anyone that has had this problem with subsequent pregnancies?
Many Thanks

Re: Gestational Diabetes
I had it - ugh
I am yet to have my second baby though.
I have heard that you don't always get GD in subsequent pregnancies, even though it is highly likely.
good luck hun

If you don't mind me asking but how severe was your GD? Did you have to have any Medication?

Re: Gestational Diabetes
Initially they tried to control it with diet & exercise but my insulin resisttance was too high & even eating no carbs put my sugars high. So I was insulin for 9 weeks. I had 38 -40 units a day, depending on what I was eating. I am now border line for diabetes
