On bed rest

Post by Mrs*T on Tue Apr 20, 2010 7:48 am

im currently 14+5 wks pregnant and been put on bed rest for at least a week. stressing out as have had two previous miscarriages at 4 & 8wks and still awaiting to be a mum.

I had bleeding at 8wks and was told was prob due to hormones i started to panic because of my previous miscarriages but after 3 days the bleeding stopped. not had any more problems until this weekend.

I woke up Saturday morning and noticed i was bleeding, got referred to Truro hospital who scanned me and was told i had a low laying placenta which was pushing the baby's head into the cervix they advised no intercourse for a month and bed rest for at least a week. They advised i was having a threatened miscarriage.

Any one know anything about the problems or how quickly the placenta will move?? not seeing midwife till Tuesday next week Crying or Very sad

I dont know how quick the placenta can move but am sure it cant be tht long as from your 12 week scan to now wasnt overly long i know its hard not to stress after everythingthts happened but try and relax
